No more throngs 
Sad songs now make the day 
No more lullabies in the lay 
Loud gongs are silent in the night 
Mermaids no longer prance in mid flight 
The stars dance to twilight’s runes 
A sad day, 
A day now ruined
A river stopped by mudflows
